After months of heat and uncomfortable environment, SRI ZAMRUD and SRI EMAS airconds are back to normal. FMD already fix it about 2 weeks ago and all students can use both room as usual for study places and any club acivities.
SRC would like to thanks all clubs and societies that were involve in signing the petition to FMD regarding this issue last time. Without your support, it is hard to deal with the management.

Fans@ Sri Zamrud..at last… September 11, 2006

This evening at 5.30pm FMD deliver 2 fans to be put in Sri Zamrud, although in our letter we demand more than two.
We are very happy to have Mr Rahimi attention about this matter, but we will meet him again in order to make sure that this issue can be solve. Airconditioner issue in SEC building is a serious issue and for information in Sri Zamrud, there were case that one of the donor (Red Crescent event, blood donation) nearly fainted when the environment in the room were very hot.
SRC did talk to one of the doctor that were in charged of that blood donation and she was upset with the condition of the room. We asked her to write letter or memo to get her proof but she refused to do it because she felt guilty doing it. She said that she came here to take students’ blood and it is rude if she made a comment to MMU.
That is one of the issue occured when the airconditioner inside Sri Zamrud is not working. SRC understand that FMD are working hard to make sure that the airconditioners can work as usual, and we erally hope that FMD can give us alternative solution while waiting for the airconditoners to be repaired.
And for your information, FMD do make some improvement on their job. We really hope that we can continue to deal with FMD for students’ purposes. Above pictures are the fans that FMD gave to us after 2 weeks of the day that they received petition from SRC and societies.
